The Chamber of Commerce of Greater West Chester kicked off the 10 Grand Club back in April of 2006. Since then, the event has become one of the organizations signature events, attracting over 200 prominent guests. The event is an opportunity for ticket holders to have the chance to win $10,000 in CASH as well as many other incredible prizes throughout the evening. A portion of the proceeds from the event go directly towards the Chamber’s Scholarship Program with the Chamber of Commerce of Greater West Chester Education Foundation.

Annual Golf Outing                                                                                        May

The Golf Outing is a fund raising event for the Chamber; location to be determined. This is a great opportunity to get out and network with other Chamber members while enjoying an afternoon out on the golf course. Lunch is provided before the outing begins and all golfers are invited to head back to Iron Hill Brewery in West Chester afterwards for drinks, food and networking.

Gallery Walk                                                                                June & October

For over 10 years the Chamber of Commerce of Greater West Chester has organized Gallery Walk, a bi-annual first Friday event in June and October, to promote downtown West Chester and its diverse art scene. Originally designed for its economic stimulus, Gallery Walk has become a premier, community cultural event.  From local artists to Dutch impressionists and jewelry to canvases, visitors to Gallery Walk experience an eclectic range of art, style and feelings.

Through the Chamber’s marketing efforts Gallery Walk has been influential in transforming West Chester’s eight block shopping and commercial district into one of the hottest community destinations for shopping and dining in the Delaware Valley. As the county seat for Chester County, Pa., West Chester is conveniently located 16 miles from King of Prussia and 15 miles from Wilmington, Delaware along the US202 corridor.

Gallery Walk continues to grow for both the public and the Chamber.  To meet this demand the Chamber has developed a stronger strategic marketing plan in order to reach a greater demographic market area. As the market plan evolves so does the budget for Gallery Walk.

To continue to create a successful quality event the Chamber of Commerce of Greater West Chester will develop partnerships with the local business community to establish a sponsorship program.  These companies will have a desire to support downtown West Chester and the local art scene as well as wanting a marketing presence within Greater West Chester, Chester County and the Delaware Valley. These sponsorships are limited and exclusive.

Iron Hill Twilight Criterium Professional Cycling Event                 July

www.ironhilltwilightcriterium.com

On the warm and sultry Saturday of June 11, 2005, the Iron Hill Twilight Criterium (IHTC) debuted and quickly become a premier sporting event for the Delaware Valley and the international cycling community.  Returning for a fifth year this fast pace race will speed through the streets of Downtown West Chester for yet another exciting day of amateur and professional Criterium (street circuit) racing. Logistically the downtown area is optimal for hosting a cycling Criterium by offering narrow streets, tight turns and long straight ways giving the spectators an intimate view of the racers.  During the Pro men’s race, spectators will feel the draft as the cyclists reach speeds of 30 mph during the 45 mile race on a 0.9 mile circuit.  With its close proximity to Philadelphia, Lancaster, and Wilmington, DE, along with the Greater West Chester and regional demographics, the event offers an ideal opportunity for corporations to market themselves.

Business Person & Volunteer of the Year Luncheon                        October 2009

This annual Luncheon is held from 11:30-1:30 location TBA. This event attracts over 150 attendees and is a wonderful opportunity for marketing and promotion of your business.  Awards presented at this luncheon include Business of the Year and Volunteer of the Year. The Chamber of Commerce of Greater West Chester Education Foundation also takes this opportunity to recognize high school students that have received scholarships through the organization.

Old Fashioned Christmas                                                                  December 2009

The Chamber of Commerce of Greater West Chester will be celebrating the 30th anniversary of Old Fashioned Christmas in December 2009. Held annually the first weekend in December (Thursday-Sunday), this holiday celebration has become a premier signature event for the community. During Friday’s festivities, children and those young at heart enjoy the arrival of Santa in the Holiday Parade and the Community Tree lighting in front of the Courthouse. The Chamber relies heavily on the support of volunteers to organize and run the parade and all the events that occur throughout the weekend. The Chamber is fortunate to have the help of local resident and business owner, Todd Marcocci, of Under the Sun Productions, Inc. a full-service production company serving the special events, marching band and color guard industries. Marcocci’s impressive portfolio includes   Philadelphia’s Thanksgiving Day Parade as well as the 4th of July and Cherry Blossom Parades in Washington D.C.

This four-day celebration features more than forty activities, offering something for everyone to enjoy. Activities include Chester County Gilbert and Sullivan Society performances of the “Trial by Jury” in the Chester County Courthouse, guided walking tours of the historic downtown area, the YWCA Holiday House Tour, and performances by a wide variety of musicians from gospel choirs to quartets and entertainers ranging from jugglers to dancers. This holiday celebration attracts more people from all over Chester County and is a one of a kind opportunity for marketing and exposure.
