The Greater West Chester Chamber is pleased to announce a new benefit designed to help members save money on prescription drugs. The free discount drug card is available to all members as well as their employees, families and friends.

The Pennsylvania Drug Card provides discounts as high as 80 percent with average savings of approximately 30 percent off prescription drugs. The prescription card can be used as a stand alone benefit or as a supplement for most health insurance plans to cover non-formulary drugs (those not covered by health insurance).

To obtain a card, simply go to the Chamber’s website (greaterwestchester.com), click on the link to Pennsylvania Drug Card, fill-in the information required and download your card. If you are unable for any reason to print a card, the Chamber will have cards available. There will also be an option to check if your prescription is available, as well as the pharmacy that provides the best price and their location.

When filling a prescription at a pharmacy, present your Pennsylvania Drug Card as well as any health insurance card you may have to compare costs. The program is accepted by most major pharmacy chains. In this area, participants include CVS and Walgreens, as well as Kmart, Giant, Target and Acme pharmacies.
No age or income restrictions apply and the card is pre-activated so you can use it immediately. Each participant must have his or her own card.

This statewide program, created by benefits providers RESTAT and United Networks of America, is made possible with the support and participation of U.S. pharmacies and pharmaceutical companies and the Greater West Chester Chamber of Commerce.

Her work behind the scenes enables Brandywine Valley’s executive and employees to take an active role in supporting the local community by participating in numerous organizations including the Greater West Chester Chamber, The Rotary Club of West Chester, The Greater West Chester Sunrise Rotary Club, West Chester Area Senior Center and Chester County Leadership Connection.
“It has been very exciting working for Brandywine with the wide range of products and services and wealth of experience we bring to the customer,” she said. “I am excited about using my abilities and experience to help Brandywine Valley continue to grow as a company and as a strong community partner.”
With nearly 20 years experience in sales and recruiting, Megan is well-versed in the world of networking and marketing. Since joining the staff of Brandywine Valley, she’s also become knowledgeable about the world of HVAC equipment and services.
“Brandywine Valley takes pride in being on the cutting edge of new technologies,” said Megan. “I have been in this position for a year and I feel I have learned a great deal, not only about our industry but also about the local business climate.”
As an example of new technologies, Megan cites the geothermal systems that have become so popular especially with the 30% tax credit. Brandywine Valley Heating & Air Conditioning has been installing and servicing them for nearly 30 years!
Among the things Megan enjoys about working at Brandywine Valley is the “uncommonly high level of mutual respect” among her coworkers.
“Everyone, no matter what their role, is committed to the highest standards of integrity, workmanship and customer service,” she said. “Brandywine Valley Heating & Air Conditioning commits a great deal of time, energy and money to training its people. It is imperative in this rapidly changing, highly competitive industry that we stay ahead of the curve to provide our customers with the best solutions to their comfort needs.”
(Brandywine Valley Heating & AC is located at 917 Old Fern Hill Road, Ste. 300, West Chester, PA 19380. For more information call 610-692-3900 or visit www.bvhvac.com)

The charming downtown is a favorite place for businesses and chamber members to conduct business, too. As the heart of Chester County, the Greater West Chester region offers close proximity to the Justice System, Bar Association, West Chester Business Improvement District, West Chester University and many leading businesses in the fields of commerce, real estate, finance, restaurants and a plethora of diverse service organizations. Its convenient location west of downtown Philadelphia and north of Wilmington, Delaware puts the larger Delaware Valley business community within easy reach.
