On Saturday, July 11, 2009 immediately preceding the start of the Pro Men’s race, the marquee event at the 5th Annual West Chester Iron Hill Twilight Criterium, Kevin Finn, owner and CEO of Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant, announced that the company has renewed its title sponsorship for five more years. Iron Hill Brewery and Restaurant has been a title sponsor of the event since its inception in 2005.

“We are excited to play a part in bringing professional sports to the area, ” said Mr. Finn, who lives in West Chester. “Not only does the event draw pro atheletes from all over, but thousands of visitors as well. I am convinced that the public’s positive impressions of West Chester during the Iron Hill Twilight Criterium have proven benefits long after the riders cross the finish line.”

Attendance soured this year to 20,000 spectators, making the event the biggest yet, a reflection of not only the event’s positive reputation, but also the increasing importance that the Iron Hill Twilight Criterium now plays in the USA Crit Series. “The growth of the Iron Hill Twilight Criterium over the past five years would not have been possible without the support and title sponsorship of Iron HIll Brewery and Restaurant,” said Katie L. Walker, President of the Chamber of Commerce of Greater West Chester.  “Having them renew their commitment to the race for the next five years is truly exciting for both the West Chester community and the event.” Ms. Walker is already looking ahead to 2014. “We at the Chamber of Commerce of Greater West Chester are proud that Iron HIll will be standing beside us when we celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the Iron Hill Twilight Criterium.”
