Frank Helms, Director Emeritus of West Chester University’s Library, shares the fascinating story of the George Morris Philips Autographed Library. Philips, principal of the West Chester Normal School from 1881-1920, amassed what was then considered the largest privately-owned collection of autographed books of the period.
